Julia Roberts 'can't wait to work with Meryl Streep in Osage County'
Streep is to play Roberts's mother in the big-screen adaptation of Tracy Letts's critically acclaimed play, which will mark the first time the two actresses have worked together in a live action movie.
In an interview with On The Red Carpet, Roberts commented that she is keenly anticipating beginning work on August: Osage County.
"It's getting there, it's getting exciting, for sure," Roberts beamed. "I can't wait!"
She added of her admiration for Streep: "It's like a dream come true [to work with her]."
John Wells - who has helmed episodes of The West Wing and ER - will direct August: Osage Country, while Harvey Weinstein and Jean Doumanian are to produce the film.
August: Osage County is expected to be released in 2013.
