Miss Ohio cited Julia Roberts' character in 'Pretty Woman' as positive female in film (Video)

The Miss USA pageant took place on Sunday night, with Miss Rhode Island being crowned the winner.

It was Olivia Culpo, 20, who ultimately won the title of Miss USA, but it was Miss Ohio, Audrey Bolte, 23, who raised eyebrows due to a fictional character that she claimed was her role model.

Bolte cited Julia Roberts character in Pretty Woman as a role model during the Q&A portion, a prostitute who falls in love with a well-to-do older man.

Bolte was asked to name a woman in film that is shown in a positive light, and she explained I think there are some movies that depict women in a very positive role, and then some movies that put them in a little bit more of negative role. But by the end of the movie, they show that woman power that I know we all have, The Daily Mail reports.

She continued, Such as the movie Pretty Woman. We had a wonderful, beautiful woman, Julia Roberts, and she was having a rough time, but, you know what? She came out on top and she didnt let anybody stand in her path.
