Julia Roberts and Danny Moder are No. 53 on Zimbio's 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples List

Image
Julia Roberts and Danny Moder fell a few spots on Zimbio's 100 Hottest Celebrity Couples list this year. They dropped from 33 to 53, largely because these two seem to make a concerted effort to avoid the headlines. This, naturally, leaves their popularity score fairly low. Julia Roberts (Getty) However, Roberts has walked countless red carpets. On her own, she still seems to enjoy the spotlight, despite lukewarm responses to her latest films. Larry Crowne (also starring Tom Hanks ) was so-so, while this year's Mirror Mirror didn't quite live up to the hype. Her cameraman husband, on the other hand, has only walked the red carpet with his gal about twice. These two definitely prefer to live their lives with their three kids out of the spotlight. Which other private couple made the list? Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez ! Last year it looked like the actress was simply rebounding with her French co-star. Well, the skeptics were wrong because now they're engaged! Perh

I remember re-shooting, I said, 'Julia, tell this story about a little girl in the tower,' (she said,) 'What's it got to do with anything?' (I said,) 'Just tell it, it'll be great for the ending.' And she did. It's one shot, that's not my finest shot, where she tells the fairy tale, but it helped us with the ending." Julia Roberts loves villainy

11 Apr Following the less-than-positive reception for last year's "Larry Crowne", 2000's Academy Award-winner Julia Roberts has decided to challenge herself to play much a darker character, in the form of the Evil Queen Clementianna in Tarsem Singh's latest piece "Mirror Mirror", a reimagining of Snow White, according to The Times Of India. According to Roberts, it was entertaining to play the villain this time around. "It was fun to play this villain because there aren't any real rules of syntax or reality that apply to her. So, I could kind of do anything and just go off the rails in any direction at any time and it would make sense to me. You don't have to worry too much about the reality of, 'Would a person really do this?'" said the 45-year-old. Julia Roberts: Acting is just my hobby now, being a mum is my full-time job

Tuesday Apr 10 2012 In Julia Roberts' new film, Mirror Mirror, a modern-day retelling of the unsuitably old-fashioned story of Snow White, her evil queen character tries everything imaginable to stave off ageing: bird droppings, maggots, garra rufa fish, you name it. In real life, Roberts, now 44, endorses a simpler solution to staving off wrinkles: Happiness and the love of a good man, she announces, leaning forward from a squishy Santa Monica hotel sofa to knock on the table. My husband thinks I'm pretty, that feels good. My mum is still beautiful. I have all my teeth. So far so good. But really, one shouldn't linger too long in front of the mirror. Roberts still looks like her very pretty woman self: long chestnut curls, face pliable, not very lined for her age but not suspiciously unlined either. She also credits a lot of Lancme but no obsession with off-the-wall treatments. Kombucha mushroom tea has recently re-reared its head as a magical potion in Hollywood, alongsid

Julia Roberts steals the show in Mirror Mirror

By Michael Huckaby / movie reviews Julia Roberts makes a charming wicked stepmother only the tongue-in-cheek kind of course. Meant for children, Mirror Mirror, is Hollywoods latest live-action take on the Snow White fairytale by the Brothers Grimm. Adults should be amused by the sly humor, while audiences of all ages will appreciate the slapstick and appreciate the outstanding visuals. Director Tarsem Singh (The Cell and The Fall) is among the best in the business when it comes to creating fabulous sets, spectacular landscapes and memorable costumes. Despite cornball dialogue, Roberts is allowed to shine and steals the show. Narrated by the Wicked Queen (Roberts) with a droll humor that sets the tone, her back-story prologue uses animated porcelain dolls. With Snow Whites mother having died in childbirth, she accuses the King (Sean Bean) of coming up with a pretentious name for the newborn princess. A witch adept at black magic, she marries the King and he soon vanishes in the nearby

Julia Roberts reflects on evil in 'Mirror Mirror' LOS ANGELES - Julia Roberts has taken time off from Hollywood of late to focus on her three young children - but admits she enjoys being back on the big screen, as a fairytale villain in her latest movie. Playing the evil Queen in "Mirror Mirror," a new version of Snow White, marks a departure for the US actress, whose career has included everything from campaigning lawyer to high-class call girl and celebrity love interest. Directed by Indian filmmaker Tarsem Singh - who made last year's "Immortals" - the movie based on the famous Brothers Grimm children's tale opens in the United States on Friday. Roberts, who at 44 remains one of Hollywood's most bankable stars, made her name in films including 1990's "Pretty Woman" and "Erin Brockovich" in 2000, and said she never thought she would appear in a fairy tale. Julia Roberts has revealed it was "torture" being covered in bird poo for her latest role in 'Mirror Mirror'.
