Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts Film August: Osage County Is Back On

Long ago, news came that Meryl Streep would play a dysfunctional, pill-addicted mother to Julia Roberts in August: Osage County. Now the film, directed by John Wells (Shameless, ER) and based on Tracy Letts' Pulitzer- and Tony-winning play, is on rails and willbegin production this autumn. Plus there's room for a couple more highly celebrated actresses to play Streep's other two daughters, so this thing can only get more Oscar-y.
