Up next for Julia Roberts and George Clooney? A possible legal thriller.

The Ocean's Eleven costars have joined forces to sue two audio-visual companies, claiming the defendants used the Oscar winners' photographs in advertisements and on their websites to market their equipment without securing permission, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

But why did Roberts and Clooney sue as coplaintiffs? They're not a couple or anything!

No, but they are longtime friends and, by filing suit together, they are sending a message that the images of A-listers like themselves are not to be infringed upon.

The plaintiffswe'll call them Robneyare seeking a permanent injunction that would require Georgia-based Digital Projection Inc. and Canada-based Beyond Audio Inc. to remove mentions and photos of Clooney and Roberts from their materials ASAP, as well as unspecified general, special and punitive damages.

In the lawsuit filed April 27 in L.A. Superior Court, the actors are alleging misappropriation of right of publicity/privacy and common law right of publicity/privacy, trademark infringement and negligence.
