Celeb Trend Report: Julia Roberts Loves Baking Soda and Other All-Natural Celeb Beauty Tricks

Julia Roberts

Actress Julia Roberts has one of the most famous smiles in the world. How does she keep her chompers looking pearly white? With baking soda.

"I brush [my teeth] with baking soda. [My grandfather] would put a big heaping mound of it on his toothbrush. He had only one cavity in his entire life," she told InStyle. "Sometimes that's all I do as far as a regimen goes."

It makes sense, given that baking soda is an ingredient in many teeth whitening strips and toothpastes. Add a little peroxide and you have your own whitening treatment that only costs pennies. Roberts' tip isn't the only all-natural beauty enhancer endorsed by celebrities. Check out these tips - and then run to your cupboard for a little spa treatment at home.

Cameron Diaz

Actress Cameron Diaz has been open about her troubles with acne throughout the years. To help alleviate the symptoms, Diaz is said to exfoliate using a couple teaspoons of powdered milk on a damp face.

Baking soda also works as a cheap exfoliator.

Teri Hatcher

Many women enjoy a glass of wine (or two!) during the evening, but former "Desperate Housewives" star Teri Hatcher liked to use some of the red stuff in the bathtub.

Teri Hatcher has started pouring a glass of wine into her bath every day. She would never drink it, but she claims bathing in it keeps her skin soft," a source told the Daily Telegr! aph in 2006.

We'd try it, but that's wine abuse.

Halle Berry

Actress Halle Berry reportedly mixes coffee grounds in with her body wash. Apparently caffeine has some amazing affects on the appearance of cellulite. She always looks amazing, so we have to think there's something to this trick.

Then again, we'd rather drink coffee than rub it on our legs.

Nicole Kidman

Actres Nicole Kidman always has beautiful strawberry blonde hair. We assumed it was a mixture of nature and a good colorist, but apparently she rinses her hair with a cup of cranberry juice to help the color pop.

The cranberry juice concoction works for reddish hair, but what about really blonde hair? Lemon juice is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

Jennifer Lopez

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez uses petroleum jelly to help remove her makeup, moisturize her elbows and knees and reduce puffiness under her eyes.

Another trick? Slather the jelly on your feet at night and put on a pair of socks. In the morning your tootsies will be super soft.

What at-home beauty tricks do you use?
