Rihanna channels her inner Julia Roberts in thigh high boots

Usually we would never associate Rihanna with Oscar winning actress Julia Roberts but after seeing these pictures, it seems that the two share a similar taste in footwear.

Well that is at least with Julia's character Vivian from the 90's classic film 'Pretty Woman'.

Rihanna donned a pair of snakeskin, thigh high boots as she was greeted by fans in New York City last night.

The 'We found Love' singer teamed the eye catching boots with a black vest, barely there black shorts and a denim jacket.

It seems that when it comes to Rihanna's taste in fashion, the thighs the limit.

Rihanna released her new single 'Diamonds' last week in the US and was on the campaign trail promoting the song when she was snapped by the press.

We're not sure if those boots are the most sensible choice of footwear when running from place to place though.
